Aula Magna's organization
Methodology
Aula Magna’s first task was to put together a group of individuals, each a specialist in his or her domain, but whose competence was often limited to their particular field, to enable them to determine the connections between the various sectors.
In order to do this, specialists were brought in. Their interventions were tailored to the special demands of the topic under discussion and the questions sent to them beforehand. They were often academics, but also people in charge of companies, associations or public entities who were familiar with the topics studied.
Hearings were organized, followed by debates between the speakers and the members of the group, and then between members of the group alone. Minutes were taken and circulated among the members of the group.
Composition
When Aula Magna first started meeting, the decision was taken not to include people who were active in politics, either as elected representatives or as civil servants, or political journalists.
